Yes, I'm not the one who has been dancing ballet since she was 4 years old.
I was 26 when ballet hit me completely unexpected.
In my early 20's I used to be a construction manager. Later I worked as a harvester on an island in the Mediterranean.
I studied fashion design in Munich, did costumes for dance projects and also successfully completed a 4-year apprenticeship as a goldsmith in Switzerland.
Your CV is perhaps similarly colourful -
In any case, ballet doesn't really fit in!?
But there is this longing, this little flame that flickers tireless.
There's something inside you that wants to come out -
that finally wants to be expressed and shown.
Oh, I know this feeling only too well!
And all those quiet (and loud) voices that say: "Ballet? Why ballet of all things? -
"𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘥𝘰 𝘠𝘖𝘜 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘵? 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴,...𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘰 𝘶𝘯𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦,...."
The fact is ballet enriched my life so much, I would never have dared to dream that.
It changes your body, your posture, it makes you ambitious, passionate..,
You're determined to achieve your goals because ballet also strengthens you mentally and emotionally.
Ballet is pure soul food.
Ballet is coming home.
But learning or relearning also has its pitfalls.
The body already has it's own history - some movements don't work at all
and often the beginner class you end up in - is just too fast or too big and you don't get the corrections you're looking,
you're longing for.
I know this. I've been there.
This passion and the "wanting to know more" -
pushed me to become a trainer in dynamic neuro cognitive Imagination, and a pedagogue in ballet and dance science.
From this knowledge about anatomy, neuro plasticity, somatic bodywork,
working with the imagination & anatomically correct ballet technique, I created:
LET'S PLAY BALLET.
LET'S PLAY BALLET
is ballet for ambitious and highly aware adult dancers who want to learn in a self-determined way,
but also love to be wholeheartedly guided on their journey.
Who are passionate, who want to be taken seriously.
And deep inside already know that they are able to make great progress.
